The Angus Breed is Launched in the United States of America by Frank Champion Murphy.

Dean and Gloria Hurlbut of St. Joseph, MO, have once again donated a framed print of Frank Champion Murphy's pastel sketch "The Angus Breed is Launched in the United States of America." Also included is a first-class 8-cent postage stamp issued in 1973 that commemorated the same artwork and the 100th anniversary of the importation of Angus cattle into the U.S. The print has been personally autographed by Frank Champion Murphy on October 5, 1973, the official first day of issue.

No strangers to the Angus family, both Dean and Gloria were long-time employees of the American Angus Association. Dean was Director of Activities and Gloria was Supervisor in the Performance Programs Department. Their combined service totaled 70 years.

Over sized Leather and Hide Black Chair with Ottoman

TAHOE Seating, located in Carrollton, Texas, is a manufacturer of fine southwest inspired furniture.. Their southwest and cowhide furniture is custom hand crafted, with every southwest and cowhide sofa, chair or ottoman being a one-of-a-kind hair on hide piece. At Tahoe Seating, they use time tested, high quality methods to manufacture their seating. For frames, they use selected kiln-dried hardwoods that are cut and assembled by hand using nails, bolts and industry wood. All cross member supports are comprised of 1" thick hardwood. A corner blocking technique is used to provide extra support in the seats' stress points. Lastly, each piece of furniture is handcrafted and personally inspected by the owner, who has over 25 years of high-end furniture manufacturing experience, to ensure the highest quality product.

This oversized black leather chair and ottoman features an all-black leather hide and hair covering. Brushed silver studs with western stars accentuate both the chair and ottoman. A must see for Angus enthusiasts!

Champions on Parade Print by Frank Champion Murphy

Champions on Parade takes place in the Livestock Pavilion, in 1902, on the Iowa State Fairgrounds. This piece was commissioned by Mr. Jimmy Lynch as the signature piece for his 801 Steak & Chop House, LTD. restaurant in the Principal's 801 Grand in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. The acquisition was proposed by Professor Richard Willham through the Iowa Cattlemen's Association. The artist, Frank Champion Murphy, is the official artist of the American Angus Association and has created numerous works that feature images of black cattle.

Donated by Dean and Gloria Hurlbut, this print is number 7 of only fifteen in the artist series. A certificate of authenticity will accompany this print. A collector's gem!

1950-60s Desk Size Angus Bull Model

This Angus bull model was commissioned by Frank Richards, Secretary of the American Angus Association while headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. This model was indicative of the body type of the Angus breed in the 1950's and 60's. These were commonly referred to as the "belt buckle" type of cattle. A true collector's piece!
